Layering Experiment – No. 1
Today I have the start of a segment of posts where I plan to just have fun layering polishes to see what effects can be created. After hearing about Movin’ Out by OPI on several nail blogs I knew I had to have that polish for myself. Movin’ Out was originally released in 2003 as part of the Holiday on Broadway collection. It is a duo-chrome masterpiece that varies in color depending on the polish that you have layered under it.
Unfortunately the first time I searched for it on ebay I was unsuccessful. There were zero bottles available so I was ready to give up on ever owning it. A week or two later I decided to see if any bottles of Movin’ Out were available and two bottles came up on my search feed. I immediately snatched one up and never looked back.
For layering experiment No. 1, I’ve combined two coats of Mock Snob by Revlon (the salmon pink creme polish I was swatching at the time) and two coats of Movin’ Out. Once layered, the polish takes on a peachy pink duo-chrome effect with TONS of shimmering goodness.

There are a few bottles of Movin’ Out by OPI on ebay right now that are being sold for a somewhat reasonable price, otherwise perhaps you might get lucky and find it at a close-out beauty retailer in your local area.
