NOTD – Sally Hansen/OPI Crackle Gradient
Here’s a sneak preview of the purple Sally Hansen Crackle Overcoat (Vintage Violet), and a few other colors. I was attempting to do a little bit of nail art and this is what I came up with. I started with painting my entire nail with OPI’s Mermaid Tears. Then I taped off half of my nail and painted the other side with OPI’s Jade Is The New Black. I was then only going to put OPI’s Silver Shatter over it but for some reason I cannot get that polish to crackle properly across my nail.
So in an attempt to save this manicure and NOT have to repaint my nails for a 3rd time in less than an hour I put the Vintage Violet crackle over everything. I think it actually turned out pretty neat!
Vintage Violet has a bit of a shimmer to it, and it applies a little sheer so the layers underneath come through a bit and create a gradient effect.
Please ignore the state of my cuticles. This was the third attempt to paint my nails and by that point no amount of cream or cuticle oil I added to my hands was making them happy.
Expect a full review and swatches of almost all the Sally Hansen Crackle Overcoats very soon! The sun is being extremely uncooperative so today I’m building a light-box.

I really love this effect…looks very ombré and has a 70′s psychedelic chic-ness to it! Really pretty! Welcome to the world of beauty blogging…have fun with it!
