Gloria & Valerie

Good morning everyone!

Today I have the final two polishes from my Earth Day Nail Polish Exchange order with Zoya, Valerie and Gloria. Just like Crystal, Valerie and Gloria are both from the Flame Collection that was released for the Winter 2010 season.

Gloria

Gloria

Gloria is pinkish-mauve colored beauty packed with gold and magenta metallic flecks throughout. This polish is saturated with microglitter but not so much that it becomes bumpy when dry.

Gloria

I ended up doing 3 thin coats with Gloria but honestly you could probably get away with 1 thin coat and 1 medium coat. Depending on the lighting the foil/metallic flecks in this one really pop, especially in the sunlight.

Gloria

Here’s a close-up shot of all the foil flecked goodness in the lovely Gloria. I didn’t think I would ever be a pink polish person, but I could see myself wearing this color frequently.

Valerie

Valerie

Ahhh, Valerie… How I love a deep royal purple colored nail polish. The flecks of pink, gold, and violet shades in this polish just jump off the nail and you can’t help be be entranced by it. This polish is extremely well pigmented. If you’re careful you could get away with 1 coat, but here I ended up doing 2.

Valerie

Honestly I ended up doing a full manicure with Valerie when I was done swatching the Zoya polishes. I then proceeded to stare at my nails constantly for several days. ^_^

Valerie

I wish I could have gotten a better picture of the almost duochromatic nature of this polish. You can see it a little bit on the side of my nail where the polish takes on more of a golden hue.

Final Thoughts:

So far I have loved every polish that I’ve tried from the Flame Collection so much that I will probably end up buying the other three polishes in the near future. The application is wonderful and you can get away with 2 coats easily. And even with the microglitter they are all a breeze to remove and non-staining.

Purchase Info:

You can buy the entire Flame Collection for $48 or each polish individually for $8 at the Zoya website.
