Wet ‘n Wild Fastdry – Magic Trident & Diving For Pearls Review
Today I’ve got two polishes from the Mermaid’s Cove Summer 2011 Collection by Wet ‘n Wild Fastdry. I happened upon this collection while we were vacationing in Ohio last month, and these two colors peaked my interest the most. They were also the only two color choices left on the display that weren’t sold out! After trying Magic Trident and Diving For Pearls I’m definitely going to be on the lookout for the other polishes in this collection.
I used CND Sticky and Seche Vite as my base coat/top coat for both swatches.
My bottle of Magic Trident came with a super junky looking brush with a few extra-long scraggly looking strands. After I snipped the brush and made it all even I was able to properly fall in love with this polish. Magic Trident is a pretty yellow-orange color with a shimmer/pearl finish. I used just 2 coats for full opacity.
Diving For Pearls is a beautifully pigmented teal polish that also has a shimmer/pearl finish. Again, I only needed 2 coats for full coverage. I had no application issues with this one, and the brush itself was perfect.
I wish I had been able to grab all of the colors from this collection because the two that I have are pretty darn great. They’re both applied so well and only needed two coats which is a huge plus for me. I’ve heard people are having a tough time finding this collection, so if you do happen to spot it I would definitely recommend picking up a few of the colors.
I found Magic Trident and Diving For Pearls at CVS but Wet ‘n Wild Fastdry polishes can be purchased at drugstores nationwide for $1.99 each, though prices may vary by store.
