NARS – Rouge Andalou
Today I’ve got my very first NARS polish to show you all, Rouge Andalou. While I’m not normally a red polish fan, this one is sending me over the moon with how absolutely gorgeous it is! There’s something that is just so sultry and flirtatious about this color, I can’t put my finger on it. I will however cover my nails with it and love every minute.
I used Essie Fill The Gap and Seche Vite as my base and top coats for all swatches.
Rouge Andalou
Rouge Andalou is a vibrant shimmering candy apply red with golden undertones. I really love the way this color just pops! It is SO incredibly pigmented. I honestly could have done one coat and been fine, the coverage was that great. I ended up doing two coats to see if the color intensified. Honestly though, one coat is just as bright and pigmented as two with this lovely lacquer.
You can see the golden undertone come out a bit in this picture. With this angle and under certain lighting the polish takes on a more red-orange color. But 90% of the time you’re going to see the color displayed in the previous photo.
And here’s a close-up of the beautiful finish. The formula on Rouge Andalou was simply amazing. The brush was soft and pliable, and picked up just the right amount of polish every time. I thought the attached square top and short stem on would be a hindrance but I was gladly mistaken.
Final Thoughts:
Rouge Andalou has made me toss my “Reds Look Bad On Me” mentality right out the window! This polish has Rie written all over it. I am very happy that I stepped out of my comfort zone with this color, and if the rest of the NARS nail polishes have a formula as great as this then I am all about NARS.

this is so pretty. I don’t wear enough reds, although they call to me, but I always think they look bad on me. But now I wanna snap this one up! Gorgeous photos, as usual!
