Layering Experiment No. 5 – I Like by Essence & Servin’ Up Sparkle by OPI
Happy Saturday Everyone!
Today I’ve got a beautiful layering combo to share with you all. I combined three coats of I Like, a beautiful shimmering seafoam green by Essence, with one coat of Servin’ Up Sparkle, the layering glitter that comes with the OPI/Serena Williams Glam Slam! Summer 2011 Collection. I still have to swatch that set, but I’m being a slowpoke. 😛 You can see more swatches of I Like over at my guest post on Also Known As…, a blog run by the lovely Kellie Gonzo.
Seche Vite top coat and Sally Hansen Nail Quencher base coat were used for these swatches. Also, click the images to enlarge them (and drool).
I Like (Essence) + Servin’ Up Sparkle (OPI)
Ever since I put this polish on I have been craving sweets at my local bakery. This combination reminds me of cupcakes covered with blue frosting and sugar sprinkles. ^_^ Vanilla Could Cake and French Macarons have been haunting my dreams. 😀
Here’s a picture with flash, it shows off the hidden shimmer in I Like a bit more.
I really love this combination. The holographic round and hex glitter in Servin’ Up Sparkle adds an ethereal look to the already beautiful ice blue shimmer in I Like!
And to end this I’d like to sneak in a picture of one of my fur kids, Chauncey. He’s a Poly-dactyl/Hemingway cat, which means he has a few extra toes (he has ‘thumbs’ so his front paws look like mittens :-)). He is the sweetest cat in the world and a total mama’s boy, he will follow me room to room just to be next to me when I’m home. 😛 His current favorite spot is on my lap when I’m using my desktop. Normally he has his head resting on my right hand (making it hard to control the mouse, heh) but he was curious about the camera in my hand. 😉
I hope you all enjoyed today’s post!
