NOTD: L.A. Colors – Jewel Tone Over Black
To be fair this was my NOTD a few days ago and I meant to post it then, but I was super busy on Tuesday and not feeling great on Wednesday so this post got pushed back a bit. Better late than never though, right? I picked up Jewel Tone at my local Dollar Tree and this is the first polish by L.A. Color that I’ve tried. Even with the foil method, glitter polishes are a pain in the ass to remove so I wanted to put this one over black to lighten the burden a bit.
Swatches shown are done with Seche Vite top coat and Sally Hansen Nail Quencher base coat.
Jewel Tone (BCC582)
I really like the way Jewel Tone looks over black, this is two coats though next time I may use three to get a litter more coverage. Black Creme by Wet n’ Wild was my base color. What I didn’t like about this polish was that the name of the color was only on the packaging, which I had thrown out. The only name on the bottle was #BCC582… I had to go online and search for an actual name to the polish.
I actually ventured out into the sun to get a daytime picture of this one! Natural light pictures are a rare occurrence with my sleep schedule, but I felt that this one needed to be seen in the sun. The small teal, blue, purple and fuchsia colored mini-hex glitter is dazzling. 😀
I found Jewel Tone by L.A. Colors at my local Dollar Tree store. As you may have guessed, their polish retails for $1.00 per .44 fl oz bottle.
