Glitter Gal Deep Green Sparkle, Not Another Red & Dark Purple 3D Holographic (swatches & review)
Happy Wednesday Everyone!
Time is flying, I can’t believe the week is halfway over already! Although I guess it’s pretty easy to miss a few days when I spend most of them asleep while the sun is out. 😛
Today I’ve got three more polishes from the Glitter Gal company to share with you all. These polishes were crazy glossy! I used Sally Hansen Nail Quencher base coat for my swatches today but I did not use a top coat at all.
Deep Green Sparkle Holographic
I absolutely love this one! Deep Green Sparkle is a dark emerald green polish filled with flecks of opalescent glitter. The scattered rainbow prismatic effect on Deep Green Sparkle is not super strong like the polishes from the China Glaze Kaleidoscope collection, but it’s still a gorgeous color. Clicking these photos will bring you to the larger, prettier versions of the same images. 😀
This is two easy as pie coats of polish. Again I want to mention that no top coat was used for this, and look how glossy it dried!
Macro shot so you can see all the glittering goodness. It kind of reminds me of a slab of green granite stone. *swoons*
Not Another Red 3D Holographic
Not Another Red is a highly pigmented, bright and sexy strawberry hued moderate linear holographic (that’s a mouthful!). I really loved how easy this was to apply. There was no streakiness or any bald patches, and the dry time was lightening fast. This is two coats.
Here’s a close-up so you can view the linear pattern for Not Another Red. Not as strong as previous Glitter Gal polishes that I’ve reviewed, but subtly isn’t always a bad thing. 😉
Dark Purple 3D Holographic
Last but not least, we have my favorite of the three I swatched for today. Dark Purple 3D Holographic is absolutely stunning! I wanted to take a picture of it in the shade first, mainly so I could point out that even under dim light you can still make out a faint linear holographic pattern in this polish. 😛 Now let’s take this baby out into the sunlight…
This polish really comes alive under direct sunlight! The linear pattern on this one is incredibly strong. I mean what else can I ask for?! A purple that’s also a killer holographic… I’m dying over here. 😀 Again, this is two coats of polish with no top coat.
As usual, I zoomed in a little bit closer so you could all check out this prismatic holo effect with me. It’s like a rainbow on my nails!
I am once again amazed by the quality of Glitter Gal’s products. Yes, they are definitely smaller than your average bottle of polish but the list of pros far outweigh the miniature sized bottles. All three of these dried to the touch within minutes of application with a high gloss finish. The deep pigmentation on these three assured that no more than two coats is necessary for complete opacity. And I absolutely love the full-sized, flexible brush that’s hidden inside each bottle. What more can I say, why haven’t you checked out this brand yet?! 😛
Glitter Gal polishes can be purchased through their US stockist, llarowe, and she does offer worldwide shipping (although Italy is currently excluded). They retail for $14.00 per 0.3 fl oz/9 ml bottle of polish. Glitter Gal polishes can also be purchased on their official website and various internet stockists (list provided on their site).
