Hello Everyone!

I was recently given the opportunity to review a few polishes from Glitter Gal, and today I’m thrilled to show you a great lavender holographic polish called Frappe.  This one is from their most recent collection of 3D holographic polishes that were released in August. The newest collection also includes a dark green called Lizard Belly and a white holographic (!!!!) called Light As A Feather. I’ll definitely need to get my mitts on those two soon. 😀

All swatches are done with Sally Hansen Nail Quencher Hydrating base coat, and no top coat. Clicking the pictures will take you to the larger image files for maximum holographic appreciation. ^_^

Frappe - indoor
Frappe is a pale lavender scattered holographic, and she is a beauty! The formula on this one was thin and quite sheer, but I found that it built up nicely after three thin coats. I really like the brush on these polishes, it’s very flexible and goes wherever you want it to go. I hardly needed to do any clean-up after application. :-)

What I’m loving about my Glitter Gal holos is that even under artificial lighting you can still see a linear holographic pattern, this above photo was taken in my light box with no flash. 😀
Frappe - flash
Under the flash of my camera you can really see Frappe start to come to life. I was quite surprised at the strength of the linear pattern on this one, especially with it being such a light color. :-)
Frappe - outdoor
And look you guys! I was awake while the sun was out (this does not happen often y’all…) and I decided that it’d be a shame to not showcase Frappe in its natural habitat. Just look at how pretty this polish is! Click on this picture to blow it up, you know you want to… 😉
And I apologize for the macro shot on this one you guys. I didn’t realize how blurry it was until I’d already taken Frappe off. Even still, it gives you the general idea of the prismatic effect of the polish. :-)

Final Thoughts:

Well, obviously I love Frappe! This is the third Glitter Gal polish I’ve tried and I continue to be impressed by the company. :-) I also think Frappe would be a great semi-neutral color to wear for individuals that have a dress code for work. It’s calm enough under artificial lighting that you’d probably be able to get away with it, yet in the sun you’ll still have a kick-ass color explosion on your nails at the end of the work day. 😛

Purchase Info:

Glitter Gal polishes can be purchased through their US stockist, llarowe, and she does offer worldwide shipping (although Italy is currently excluded). They retail for $14.00 per 0.3 fl oz/9ml bottle of polish. :-)
