31 Day Challenge: Day 10 (Gradient Nails)
Today we’re at day 10 of the 31 Day Challenge, which is the last day of the ‘Colors’ portion of the challenge. I’d like to send Cris and Sam a congrats for reaching day 10 with me, we’re 2/3rds of the way through you guys!! Don’t forget to check out their blogs to see their Gradient Nails for today.
Every few days I’ve been filling in the “31 Day Challenge” tab at the top of this page with each days manis so people can have a quick reference to what I’ve done so far. A link to the challenge list is also included on that page, so check it out!
Day 10: Gradient Nails
I decided to do a blue gradient, and I wanted use some of my untrieds. I started with a light blue shimmer, Revlon’s Blue Lagoon. Then I sponged Essence Pool Party (I finally got it, thanks to Melissa!!) over it, followed by A England’s Galahad and Nfu Oh #119. I finished the look by sponging my tips with China Glaze Skyscraper, and finally Tasmanian Devil by Confetti (a kick-ass glitter sent to me by Dana!).
This was my first gradient mani and the first time I’ve tried the sponging technique. I love the way it turned out! Though I wish you could see Galahad a bit more because it’s such a lovely shade of teal, I’ll have to do a separate review of each polish I used here in the future because they’re all some of my favorite blues.
Bottle shots of the polishes I used. I think these would also make for a fun skittle style mani too!
You’re daily dose of macro shots. I wish I didn’t have to take this off so soon!
Sorry for such a late post today you guys! I think I’m starting to catch a cold and my energy levels are at the bottom of the barrel. I’m actually going back to bed after I post today’s challenge entry. See you all again tomorrow!! We’re starting the Patterns portion of the challenge. ^_^
