31 Day Challenge: Day 3 (Yellow Nails)
Allo!
Today is day 3 of the 31 Day Challenge, and we’re doing Yellow Nails! I started off with two coats of China Glaze Trendsetter, a murky mustard yellow polish from their Metro collection that was released a month or so ago. I suppose it’s what you’d call a “fugly” color but I love it! This glass-fleck filled polish is one of my all time favorites. I decided that today’s manicure needed MOAR YELLOW, so I then free-handed Banana Bama by Maybelline over the corner of each nail. I think it turned out pretty badass.
Enough gabbing, let’s get to the pictures!
Make sure to stop by Cris and Sam’s blogs for their day 3 manis. ^_^
China Glaze Trendsetter + Maybelline Banana Bama
For my first attempt at free-handing a vertical stripe I think I pulled it off quite nicely!
These two colors really compliment each other, the hidden shimmer and brightness of Banana Bama pops when paired with the murky Trendsetter.
Banana Bama is a little on the sheer side, so I ended up doing two coats. I then topped everything off with a good coat of Seche Vite. ^_^
China Glaze Trendsetter
Here’s a few photos of Trendsetter by itself. It’s such a gorgeous green leaning yellow, and the glass-fleck is flippin’ amazing. Gah, I just love glass flecked polishes so much! ^_^
What would a Nails and Noms post be without a shimmering macro shot?
Also, I think this is the best my cuticles have ever looked. I recently started using Lemony Flutter and sweet jebus that stuff is amazing!
That’s it for today! Are you all down with the “fugly” colors? If so, what are some of your favorites? I’m a big fan of Trendsetter and Catwalk Queen by Finger Paints. ^_^

Love it! You’re absolutely right. There is something about the greenish Trendsetter that is mustard yellow and therefore worthy of the yellow post. I’m a fan!
