31 Day Challenge: Day 27 (Inspired By Artwork)
Hey Everyone!
We’re at day 27 of the 31 Day Challenge, and it’s all about artwork today. I chose Kandinsky’s Squares with Concentric Circles as my art inspiration. I think I did a fairly good job representing the painting, but I’ll let you judge that for yourselves.
Day 27: Inspired By Artwork (Kandinsky’s Squares With Concentric Circles)
Here ya have it! I think I did a pretty good rendition of the painting on my nails. I was in “the zone” during this whole process. My roommate was laughing at me, she said that I was quietly mumbling/talking to myself as I rummaged through my polish stash to pick out the colors I wanted to use for this piece project. Sounds about right. O_o
Here’s a picture of the original painting by Wassily Kandinsky. Can you tell which five circles I chose to represent on my nails? ![]()
Macro shots of each circle that I picked. I really enjoyed working on today’s challenge. It honestly felt like I was painting five tiny canvases. My pinky was my favorite, which nail/circle do you like the best? ![]()
My art palette. I used a LOT of different nail polishes to create this look today, including mixing several colors as I went along. I also used a small amount of red acrylic paint for my thumb.
Thanks for stopping by again today! Now head on over to Cris and Sam’s blogs to see their artwork inspired nails for the day.

OMG! I LOVE this so much, Kandinsky is one of my favorite artists and I have this print hanging in my living room!!
