NerdLacquer Purely Logical – Swatches & Review
Happy Saturday Everyone!
It’s pretty much going to be a NerdLacquer weekend so I hope you all brought some snacks.
Today I’ve got Purely Logical to show you and holy man alive this polish is love at first sight! It was the very first NerdLacquer polish I saw that I just absolutely NEEDED to own.
I used my usual Seche Vite/Nail Quencher top coat and base coat combo for my swatches today. Less talk from me, we’re moving straight into swatch-ville.
Purely Logical
PURELY LOGICAL is a brilliant shimmering acid green packed with silver, copper, iridescent, and turquoise glitter, plus copper and turquoise medium hexagonal glitter. Opaque in two coats, or great as a top coat over your favorite green or turquoise lacquer.
Purely Logical is from the Where No Lacquer Has Gone Before Series, which is based on a Star Trek theme. Again I’m using Amanda’s description for this because she explains the intricacy of this polish perfectly. ♥
It’s a bit sheer and I ended up using 3 coats of polish here, but I plan to layer this over 8,000,000 greens in the immediate future as suggested in the polish description. You can still see a hint of VNL but this is one of those instances where I do not care. ![]()
Here’s a macro shot so you can see the superfine shimmer that takes this polish to holy sh*t levels of amazing. Enlarge this photo to its original size or live with the regret for the rest of your lives. ![]()
Annnnd a bottle shot thrown in the mix. I love the mini bottles, but man are they a pain in the butt to hold on to when trying to snap photos. I may have “baby hands” but these 5ml bottle are teeny!

Final Thoughts:
So I’m kind of head over heels in love with Purely Logical. I admit that I know next to nothing about Star Trek (fellow nerds across the globe weep) but that doesn’t mean that I can’t adore this polish.
Getting the hex glitter out of the bottle can be a bit tricky. But I used my invert/toothpick trick again and that really loosened up the glitter from the sides of the bottle for me.
I think I’ll definitely need to order the full sized bottle of Purely Logical once it’s back in stock. Now I just need Amanda to do a Game of Thrones based collection and I can die a happy woman.
Purchase Info:
I purchased my 5ml minis as part of the boxed mini quad gift set, which I think cost $12.00 for 4 mini bottles of polish. You can purchase her regular 15ml bottles of polish for $8.00 each from NerdLacquer’s Etsy Shop, or for $10.00 each from Harlow & Co. Both sites are pretty low on stock right now but that’s definitely temporary while Amanda is creating new batches of her collection. And if you go through Harlow & Co. you can sign up for email notifications to find out when NerdLacquer polishes are back in stock. ^_^

Excuse me while I flip my shit over this polish! Amazing!!!!!!!!!!!
