Morning Ladies!

Today I’ve got a polish from a brand that I’ve been wanting to try for some time now. I’ll be showing you Head Turner by Dermelect ME Peptide-Infused Nail Color, a gorgeous orange creme polish. :-D

Dermelect is new to the nail polish game, but not new to the polish world. They have been making nail care products for quite some time. And now they’re introducing their first collection of polishes, with some pretty hefty claims!

BENEFITS (taken from their press release)

·   Strengthens weak, brittle nails

·    Restores nail flexibility

·    Helps nails resist chipping and splitting

·    Provides long-lasting, high shine and bold color

·    Water and detergent resistant

·    Protects against UV rays

·    DBP, Toulene, Formaldehyde, and cruelty FREE (no animal testing)

Let’s take a look a the polish and then I’ll get back to my thoughts on the benefits. ^_^

Dermelect - Head Turner
Head Turner is an absolutely GORGEOUS bright orange creme, and it applies wonderfully! This is 2 easy coats. Dermelect claims that you can use any of their polishes alone, no base and no top coat necessary. The first coat of the polish acts as a base, the 2nd coat merges to the first one and you get a nice smooth finish.

While I did not use a base coat, I did use Cult Nails Wicked Fast as my top coat for a super glossy finish. It wasn’t necessary though because Head Turner dries with a high gloss on its own.

And as a bonus, I wore Head Turner on my toes for almost three weeks prior to swatching it on my fingers. I had no chips, no dulling on the finish, and absolutely no staining upon removal!

Final Thoughts:

My first experience with Dermelect ME Peptide-Infused Nail Color has been a great one. I love the color, I love the finish, and I love the wear time that I experienced when I had it on my toes. I’ll have to see if I can get the same results on my fingers with Head Turner.

As for the other claims, Polish Insomniac has had great chip-free results and you can see all of the other current Dermelect ME shades swatched [HERE].

Have any of you tried Dermelect ME polishes yet? :-)
