Storage: My Nail Plates Have A New Home!
I’ve been pretty productive all night and I’m taking a break to schedule this post for you guys! After having all of my nail stamping plates sliding around in a giant box and driving me crazy for almost a year, I decided that something needed to be done. I used Google-Fu and consulted with fellow lacquerheads on Twitter about how they stored their plates. And with their help and some great tips from OneCraftySAHM I finally have a much more organized storage system for my growing nail stamp collection!
My Nail Plate Storage System
This was SUPER simple to put together! All I needed for this storage system was a cheap 3 Ring Binder, 3 x 5 inch index cards, and trading card pages. I folded the index cards in half and used them as backing in each of the trading cards slots, that way the nail plates don’t slide around as much. A big thanks to OneCraftySAHM for that idea!
Ta-daaaaahhh! And this is what I ended up with. Very easily visible nail plates organized by brand. I just used a thin sharpie to add the brand name to the corner for each page.
There you have it folks! It really doesn’t get much easier than this. And if I need to add more nail plates I can just purchase more trading cards and a bigger binder! I paid 97 cents for the binder, 94 cents for two packs of index cards, and about $7.00 for two packs of the trading card pages. So my grand total for this little project was less than $9.00!!
